And he needs respect.
More than doing all those things for him, if you don’t give the guy the proper respect, all your cute efforts will be voided. As you probably figured out by now, though still have a hard time understanding, guys don’t need much. Clean socks, cereal, a ball, good weather and we are as happy as can be. You think he needs all those things you do for him, chiefly because you want him to do those things for you, and so on you go, getting fixing him dinner, doing his laundry, and writing him cute notes with ;D—without realizing that you’ve missed the most important thing he desires, to be respected by you. (note: this respect is irrespective of whether you think he deserves it, because, let’s face it, what you think depends largely on your mood—and that is as shifting as the wind, escaping even the best predictions of psychologists and neurologists). Guys, throughout the course of human history, needs to feel respect because we have been indoctrinated ever since we were young that honor, pride, and respect are the emblems of glory of manhood. Without it, failures we feel we are.
So please, tell your man that you respect him for the things he does, (or if you want to be a lithe more cunning, tell him how much you respect his best friend for the things he does: cause “nothing rouses a man’s ambition so much as the trumpet clang of another man’s fame”.)

She needs appreciation
More than anything in a relationship, a woman needs to feel appreciated to be happy. Appreciation is even more important than chocolate or love in a woman’s eyes. Let her know you value all the little things she does for you like doing your laundry, fixing dinner, or leaving you cute notes.
